Pak Alan / Pak Ganja and other keris knowlegables,

This question has more or less related to this topic, so pls bear with me

If an old keris blade is reforged, would the yoni disappeared from the original blade? What if an old blade believed to be imbued by "Sumyang" type isi, would any empu / pande reforge such a blade?

Thx in advance.

Dear Penangsang,

Really I don't have any experience on that. But according to some local belief in Jawa (you may ask Mr Oesman, he is experienced on spiritual matter in keris like this, I think), "yoni in keris will be gone if the keris blade undergoes heat treatment..." (Pls forgive me for my late response)

But according to Bali tradition, according to Ketut Mudra (a traditional keris smith in Klungkung, Bali), "forging place for keris (besalen) is a holy place, where god Brahma usually passes on his spiritual strength to kerises...,"
