Hello Charles,

A most interesting sword! It remind me to the beladah belabang from scabbard style and blade profile. So South Borneo would be my guess. Also the cast brass hilt would point in this direction IMVHO.

Blade is also short (19.5 in) which might suggest a nautical sword/"cutlass" for close quarters work.
