The common term is "khanjar" (dagger), and as Mr. Alnakkas pointed out, hard to determine exact origin. This one seems more general-Syrian rather Majdali.

If I recall right, there were almost no details on the spot. AFAIK the longer, slender one is more of a Turkish type/influence, while the broader one with decorative holes is strictly Russian.

Very nice item! As said here before, it is a reduced size mortar - or actually a howitzer, as the trunnions are set in the middle of the (very) short barrel, and the elevating angle is limited....
