ARABIC TRANSLATION AGAIN PLEASE

The "bulb" is called a THUM and literally translates as a Garlic or Onion. Found mostly on Western Arabian knives from Asir /Meccan region, though it is also found on some Southern Arabian pieces, notibly the Hadramauti GUSBI. I guess the shape can be anything the maker dreams up as some are only very small while others are quite big.

Thanks DOM for your translation and also your correction to my "onion" comment. I assumed wrongly that it would have meant the same!
