Hi Sfenoid ,
You're right, the Yatagan with the silver inlay is from the same workshop
as mine.

Hi,
The first line is:
Kendi nutk-ı pakdır nutk eyleyen Perverdegar

can be roughly translated as; His word is true/well spoken since it's Allah who makes him speak - referring to Ali

Hello Kurt,
The yataghan bellow is in the collection of Historical and folk art museum of Rethymnon, in Crete. It was donated by a Cretan chieften that aquired it as a war trophy. It must be of the same maker! The silver scabbard was made in Crete by the last owner, so is not original of the sword!
