A nice Mk1 there Chregu, Have you checked the spine for a FW stamp? The Mk1 seems to have potentially been made from the early20th century to around 1917.

The 2/8th were renowned for having their own battalion kukri rather than Mk issue
as this one below;

The 2/8th were raised in 1907 from the then 7th GR, so it is possible that this kukri dates from that period, having originally been a 7th GR kukri, that was then armourer marked 2/8th upon the transfer.
