Don't dispair Detlef. It's still a wonderful piece, even with the grinder marks. With some fine sandpaper, P220 or finer, you can sand along the length of the sword until most of the marks are gone....

During surgery to remove a brain tumor in mid February he suffered a severe stroke. He passed away...
