The second keris from the story bescribe at 1:
Javanese dress quite simple but well made. Strange dapur and quite indistinct pamor. Would like to hear your opions on this keris, dapur/pamor/age etc. I would like to learn so don't be afraid to share your opion if it can not be sustained by references etc. Regards, Erik |

Hullo everybody,
To my untrained eyes, it looks like a 3-wave Cengkrong. Best, |

That's right,
It is a chengkrong luk-3. I have another chengkrong with luk-5 (five waves) but newly made by a Solo keris maker, Ki Sukamdi... GANJAWULUNG Last edited by ganjawulung; 8th January 2009 at 01:35 PM. Reason: wrong spelling |

Hi Erik, that's an interesting piece you have there and it looks like there's some nice pamor that would show up with a clean and restain job.
Hi Ganja, if you don't mind me asking, how long is that cengkrong of yours? How thick is it and how wide is the gongo from side to side? It kind of says to me "make one" (after finishing my jalak budo, Bali Pasopati etc... ![]() |

This pics below, is "not" a pedang or Javanese sword. But actually "a chengkrong without ganja", but dressed in a pedang shape. You may look at the sor-soran or lower part of this pedang-chengkrong.. The only straight chengkrong keris I have in my collection. GANJAWULUNG |

Anything specific about chengkrong dapur blades?
Are they rare? Specific meanings? Regards, Erik |

Here is another picture of a chengkrong keris with nine (9) luks or waves I've just acquired in Jakarta... Old blade, with its old style of Banyumas (southern part of west-central Java) warangka and Cirebonese hilt... GANJAWULUNG |
