Default Bhutanese/Tibetan dagger

A Bhutanese or Tibetan dagger, the heavy blade has been made from a file that has been forged to shape. The handle is of buffalo horn with nicely worked metal ferrule. The wood-lined scabbard appears to be of silver alloy and is a very good example of repousse work. On the scabbard are depicted the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. On the reverse side of sheath is a small retaining loop. This is a strong well made dagger in excellent condition, showing some age, and obviously made to be used. Blade length 9½'', overall length 14½''. A genuinely nice piece.
$75 usd plus postage (around $25 to most parts of the world). PM me if you are interested. I do accept paypal
