Elements of this make me think it may well be a Sudanese version of this type sword. Late 19th century, quite interesting.

I agree with Tim, the crossguard is kaskara-ish. The blade looks like those trade blades commonly found on arabian saifs.

I have my doubts.
I see what you mean by "kaskara-ish" crossguard, but to me it looks more like a clumsy modern garage manufacture: ground shiny brass with fresh scratches all over and not smoothed by age and use. The fullers end too close to the point and the latter is also unnatural. The fullers look ground and clumsily so. The inscription "Frin" (Fringia?) was never finished. The entire blade was cleaned roughly and looks just poorly ground. The contour of the handle is strange, with an unnatural dip by the pommel, and the wood looks new.
My vote: a dog's breakfast of a sword, assembled from unrelated and heavily altered parts with the idea of an imitated old Islamic saber. And, if we want to be precise, the handle is not "karabela-ish" but "kilij-ish". Looks "fake-ish" and "cheap-ish"
