REGARDLESS OF AGE ITS A BEAUTY I AM SUPRIZED IT HAS NO SCABBARD IT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT IT WAS LIKE. THE WORKMANSHIP IS BEAUTIFUL AND ITS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN WALRUS IVORY USED ON A PHILIPPINE WEAPON.
THEY COULD HAVE IMPROVED IT A BIT BY USING STERLING SILVER AND SUASSA ON THE GRIP BUT ITS VERY NICE AS IT IS. PERHAPS THEY DID BUT I CAN'T TELL FROM THE PICTURES LOOKS LIKE SILVER ALLOY AND COPPER. I WOULD HAVE GONE ALL THE WAY AND USED THE BEST IF I WAS MAKING A HIGH QUALITY BARONG LIKE THAT ONE. |
