Default A Nice Little Repair of a Khanjarli

Hi folks. Thought I would post a recent repair I did for a forum member. Although it is not Moro or Filipino, it is a worthy piece that needed help.

This is a horn khanjarli that was missing 2 silver rosettes. I had to replace the copper pins and make 2 new silver rosettes from scratch. Both the owner and I agree that now it looks better. I have posted 2 before and 1 after pictures. Enjoy.

Very nice work Jose. Are the silver bits made of sterling silver or silver of a lesser grade?

Thank you folks. The silver bits are sterling silver - what I had available.

Louis, are your rosettes made of gold?
