Default Indo-persian Dagger.. Pesh kabz????

I managed to pick up this dagger and an Ethiopian shield recently. Not really my area of collecting..the local market was short on Moro sandata.

I believe this to be a Pesh kabz. It has a reinforced tip, like it was meant to pierce something more resistant than bare skin. The blade seems to be laminated. Remnants of silver inlays on the blade and some gold coloring on the hilt. The blade has cross hatchings similar to what you would find on a file. Could this have been forged from a file??

OAL 17 in., blade 12.25 in.
