Hornbill and Dragon (ISBN 979 8112 00 8) and Iban Art-sexual selection and severed heads-(ISBN 10 9054500050 ---additional ISBN's exist) have both been previously mentioned in this thread.
Hornbill and Dragon has a number of plates of hilts and names the tribe of origin. Iban Art gives a very comprehensive explanation of the culture of and reasons for, the taking of heads. Those with an interest in this topic would gain much from a reading of both books. |
