Since it is a pekaka hilt, technically should be a chirp, or whatever is the word that describes a kingfisher's call. Cackle? Caw?

A better picture to do justice to the sampir.

The patterns on the wood almost looks like a screaming face.

Bluerf, another beauty you've got there.. the perkaka hilt is mouth-watering, with a fitting 'gelug' pendokok.. the pattani-styled sari bulan is also having the trademark of a master craftsman from Kelantan..

Although we might have the similar look alike marble stone, maybe this will help on the definition of blade, though a bit worn out due to age.
Overall length is about 21.5 inch
Blade length is 14.7 inch. All parts are old but the hilt is recent replacement (existing is in kerdas form - not that old). For your view.
Similar tukang perhaps maybe.

Ah, this keris is familiar...

The hilt is made from gigi? It's unusual for the maker of my hilt to acquire gigi material, I thought. But it is a really nice hilt.
