Besides a clean, patina free "ivory" pommel next to a aged pommel band & the rattan; the engraved lines appear like they were done with a electric engraving tool. The waves appear to be stock removal, original or not, hard to say but the with the rest of the oddities, I'd be concerned. The darkness of it, says a heavy acid etch, giving it some appearance of age. My guess is it was once a straight kris with a softer core & would be surprised to see someone post it with a twisted core. Of course, just my opinion from the present pictures.
