Hello Mykeris,
I also don't think that it could be Batak, most of the Batak are christian (but not all), the sheat have some affinitys to Aceh. Why do you think it coudn't be Minangkabau? I don't think that it could be javanese but maybe a other option is Lombok? ![]() BTW, it is the wrong place in Keris Warung Kopi. sajen |

Thanks Sajen, usually Minangkabau's hilt motif would not be of a Dragon but sometihing like horse shoe (tapak kuda). Agree with you, maybe from Acheh. If some of our Malay friends could read the Jawi writing (Islamic script) on the scabbard would be useful.It would solve the problem. I could read only a little. The word Pedang (sword) has been mentioned.
