Default Origin Shots??

Thanks, Here's a few shots of a palm flowers and a boat and a Arhout waterwheel. Maybe Arabic???

I think it is Iraqi, late 19th/early 20th Cent. The scabbard is silver with typical nielo decorations. Not the best quality, but decent. But the blade is Very Nice!!!!

My guess it is from one of the Arabic parts of the former Ottoman Empire, Syria would be my first guess.

Default followup

Thanks for the information. I polished the blade more and re etched it. It is by far the highest contrasting blade I've found to date, even if it does dress funny.
Alex you and Galvano set the bar higher,so I'm going to be more diligent and save up funds to be able to buy a quality jambiya someday.
