Another cannon. Life is full of surprises.
Guess what ?
Yesterday i went to check on the seller that sold me the hand cannon, as i knew he had a British cavalry sword for sale. It happens that he didn't take the sword to the fair, i guess not to expose it to the cops, due to the recent arms law. But then i noticed he had another cannon, same as the previous one, eventually in a better condition. Before my surprise, he told me he had in fact acquired two of them ... only that he cared to take to the fair one at a time. I couldn't resist to instinctly buy it, even not being sure i will keep it. My budget is not so relaxing . This one is a bit conical to the muzzle ( the other is slightly flared) and its bore mouth is in a much better condition. Fernando |

Hell Fernando, you are lucky with these ;-)
Will you re-mount this one too, and have a pair? Or perhaps use the first to fund more purchases, I'm certain you'd get a good price for it on the open market! Regards Gene |

Hi Gene,
I have to mature my ideas about it. I know i will not kill myself re-mounting this one, nor will i swap the barrels, as this one is a bit wider in the base, and i don't feel like hand carving again the stock to adjust it for the new piece. Maybe i end up selling or swapping this new acquisition. I'll have to see. Fernando |
