![]() ![]() For me, my cheapest keris was my 1st keris, a Madura muda piece, tilam sari with a few layers of pamor. Cost about US$100. Ever since then, it has been going downhill... erm, going up, I mean. ![]() But seriously, the lowest cost-to-value ratio I've paid for a keris was for a Pattani keris, because the owner wanted to get out of collecting. Paid US$490 for it, but its really worth many many thousands, at least in the keris' hometown. I just acquired another keris, a Sumbawa keris, which is on par with that keris, and that cost me much much much more than US$490. |

I cant understand why your keris is particularly TOO STRAIGHT Pusaka, almost like a tumbak if it wasnt for the asymetrical ganja

Hello PenangsangII,
I think it just looks very straight in the photos because of the slight angle the blade is at. None of the clothes including the handle are original. I simply liked the blade, the strong pamor lines stick out of the blade. You can feel the pamor if you rub your finger across the blade. Dose anyone know what the symbolism behind this pamor is? |

Considering that none of the clothes are original to this blade how would you dress it, what style do you think would be most appropriate to the blade?

I think Palembang dress would be nice
![]() Well, I believe the way you dress the keris if you are a Nusantaran, depends on where you are going to use it. If you are to attend a function, say, in Surakarta kraton function, you could use a ladrangan warangka and Solo ukiran / selut / mendak. Other than that, since the blade is a straight bladed tilam upih, any type of dress would be suitable, IMHO. |
