Malay kris sundang
Hi
Here is my malay sundang with tulang bulat fuller . Might be from terengganu or pattani. The blade is 20 inches long and very lightweight. |

Mas Sepulah,
Welcome to the Forum! Thank you for posting this interesting example. It has a lovely laminated blade and the pommel is the most realistic portrayal of a kakatua that I have seen on a sundang or Moro kris. Do you have any idea of how old this sundang may be? Do you have other examples that you can share? Regards, Ian. |

Hello Mas Sepuloh,
Thanks for sharing this nice blade with us. And welcome to the forum. How long is the complete sword? Are you going to replace the pendokok (hilt ring) and clean the blade from surface rust? Regards, Detlef |

To me, this looks like a large keris. Outside of the dress, what makes this sundang versus keris?
