I have to correct myself, the shown necklaces are not wangpar necklaces but necklaces from the Ngada tribes from Flores!
![]() The difference is that Ngada necklaces have the small kauri shells attached. I was confused by the description from the auction house of the newly acquired one. Sorry for the confusion. |

If I may be picky, they are COWRIE shells. Kauri is a New Zealand tree.
