Thank you gentlemen, for your insights and the avenues for learning.
For my understanding, from the 2 images posted below, the first being the keris under discussion, that the feature you sought to see on the gonjo is more like that in the second image? There is an ever so slight curved waist to the keris is question, not particularly noticeable in the photos. The second image is from another I will upload when time allows. There are 4-5 of these large blades here, all without dress. With thanks Gavin |

I take the sirah cecak as the primary indicator from an above view, secondary indicator from above I look at the overall profile.
From a side view I consider length first. If we suspect Tuban from a side view, then we definitely look at the sirah cecak first from above. |
