Very nice indeed, and surely looking old... 18-19th century ? No tourist thing, it certainly had a long time user, no fake. Being decorated in both sides is new for me ( what a surprise ) . The ones you see more often are leather covered, like mine, with a loop on the backside for the belt or baldric. Yours hangs in a different manner, this maybe meannig a different regional provenance.
One more question, before the conoisseurs come around: The brass on your handle looks a bit pale ... was it the picture brightness or is it really made of "white" brass ?
