To me, this Pesh-kabz looks typical Persian. Very, very beautiful piece. This quality od engraving is very Persian. Also the overall shape and the style of decorations are Persian.
I am not sure about the scabbard, but it might be a later Afghan replacement. Can you post some photos detailing the wootz pattern. |

It is a magnificent knife! I envy you for this piece... among others... 😉
But I believe the blade could benefit greatly from a good etching as the wootz patterning appears to be almost completely worn out. |
