Could it be a Spanish blade that has been rehandled in Brazil, etc?
The blade is just like an early-mid 19th C Spanish punal I use to have. Just a thought. Rich |

A comparison.
First pic.: handle from one of my Faca de Pontas Second pic.: handle from a possible Mineira dagger from Brazil, taken from this thread: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...azilian+dagger Third pic.: handle from the dagger in question |

Thank Sajen,
I think “Brazilian with Mediterranean blade” is the most plausible ![]() |

Hi,
I don't know much about Faca Pontas, so this may be a bit off, but has anyone considered it might be a Mauritanian dagger? Both Brazilian and Mauritanian daggers have a heavy Spanish-Moorish influence. Found some examples that have similarity, but they are for sale ![]() |
