Armor for sale
I recently saw an amazing piece of pikeman's tasset armor plate in a local antique shop in my area. It came from the tower of London auction back in the 70's with original price tag/paperwork proving authenticity. It is blackened steel, not my field but appears 100% legit. Didn't get the dimensions, but it was approx a foot long by maybe 8" high? It was of the type simulating interlacing plates, but it is actually one large piece complete with the hook device for securing. i loved handling it, but it is not my collecting area, nor do I have the money for it. He's asking $599, what seems like a steal for this!!! In any case, I thought a Forumite should have it versus someone less passionate.
If anyone wants the shop's name, number, website, etc, PM me. Again, not my area of expertise, so I'll let you be the judge. |
