The length of the scabbard looks longer than the blade. It looks like the tip of the blade broke and was reshaped. The size of the hilt (5 in.?),suggests that it was made for an adult.

I agree with Kino, the hilt is large and out of proportion for the rest of this kris. It seems more likely that it has been shortened at some point.
I also wonder at the likelihood of creating a kris blade for a child in post WWII Philippines. ![]() |
