Default a jambiya i think ?

i think this is a jambiya ,I picked this up this afternoon , any info on it would be great ,it looks like its got some age and is well made ,do you think it should be cleaned up or left as it is .

This is a Moroccan koummya with silver and brass. I'd say yes clean it up.

great thanks for the info , I will post a pic once ive cleaned it up .do you think is a tourist piece or maybe a 19th century example?

Hello Chiefheadknocker,

nice piece, agree with everything Jose has written. It's maybe not a 19th century piece but an early 20th century one. Not a tourist piece.
