I really like these ottoman heart-shaped flasks, and yours is no exception. I have seen coins/tokens similar to those on your flask on balkan/ottoman shields. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Stu.

Hmmmm. From the photos of the back of the flask, it does look old. I have no idea how old. LOL The wire decoration is interesting. Don't believe I've seen this on another. The tiny punch work on the brass on the rear of the spout reminds me of Moroccan. My only guess is that it was made somewhere in the Balkans. But it is very decorative - and sounds like a real bargain. It's nice to hit a home run every once in a while. LOL Anyway, nice flask addition. As Kubur mentioned, any ID of the coins might give us a better idea of the origin.

Default "COIN"?? PICS

Not at all sure that these are actual coins.....maybe talismanic discs? Those more knowledgeable than I may know.
