A truly beautiful sword Charles especially with the cast? brass hilt. Thank you for posting it here for discussion. Could you possibly post a few close-ups of both sides of the blade as well. Great catch.

A UNUSUAL VARIATION AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE TO BE USED WITH A LANYARD WRIST STRAP OR PERHAPS JUST SOMETHING DECORATIVE. DOES IT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN SILVER OR GOLD GILT AT ANY TIME.?
