Hi All
I just picked up this sword from a fellow formite. It seems to be a North African style sword with a 24" blade. Does anyone have a clue which tribe made this? I also noticed that many years ago some idiot commited an atrocity and drilled a small hole through the hilt and blade probably to mount it on a wall ![]() ![]() Lew Last edited by LOUIEBLADES; 1st December 2005 at 03:59 AM. |

It looks like one of mine witch come from the Mandara mountains, North-Cameroon, region of the Kirdi.
The handle is made of horn. In the 2 exemples on my website, the blade is enlarge at his middle part. http://lulef.free.fr/html/kirdi_2.html More about Mandara: http://www.mandaras.info/EthnicGroups.html Luc Another exemple with the same blade: |
