Your link implies Equatorial guinea...

But I have no idea how widely this style may reign.

Yeah, I noticed that some of these blades seem to be pretty wide spread.
Because I certainly saw Rwanda as its place of origin several times, but even within Rwanda a dozen tribes used them apparently.

Indeed , I haven't checked but Id guess Equatorial guinea is near on 2000 miles from Rwanda?

Have you checked the pitt rivers collection? Id guess it may have some relevant pieces..
