I'd love to hear some other opinions on this blade if they are out there. While Detlef and i both seem to have similar opinions on this one i don't think either of us are too sure of that opinion.

Looks like an old trade blade. Malay dress - could be either side of the Malacca Straits. Cute hilt - old ones are not that common anyway. Probably not worth the bother of restoring unless the sheath was clearly made for the blade. If not, pop the hilt off and put it on a stand. The other bits can go in the parts box.

Maybe Madura or maybe Sumatra, just look the material, the material not bugis material, but the same materials with madura/javanese keris
