I thought "Ariel" was spirit of the air in William Shakespeares "The Tempest".

Ariel is also an angel of God (EL) and a type of gazelle. Pretty cool name.

Well, to be absolutely precise, Ariel is "God's lion" in Hebrew, one of the Biblical names for Jerusalem and one of the names for the Temple's Altar stone.
