Well now Mr. Rick
Your point is well taken and I have buckled up
Sorry to appear so sensitive.
The oil on the water is well taken.
I glad you got a copy of the book as that was the only reason for my post in the first place.
As far as I am concerned this subject is closed
Thank you
As Jens would say "enjoy the day"

Gene

Hi guys,

No, I'm not offended. Everyone is free to choose what or where he wants to buy something. I know that shipping costs can mean a big difference in the total price of an item (book or something else).

And to be honest....me too, I'm always on the look for a bargain !

I think it's important that forumites give each other the opportunity to buy or swap items first, before these go on ebay or other auction sites. This can often 'boost' the price, I know.
I've already found some good items here. Even if we don't know each other really, through this forum there is some kind of trust. When I get something from a forum member, I know I won't be disappointed. The quality of the collected pieces is mostly very high.

Now, the last thing I would have wanted was that somebody felt targeted in any way by my comment. I just expressed a feeling, hence the emphasis in specifying that I was giving just a point of view. If the wording of my comment has made somebody think otherwise, I sincerely apologize.

Gene, come on, no one who can trace your record in this forum can by a moment think you wanted to wrong anyone... I'm really, really sorry if I made YOU feel wronged. Not at all my intention. Please, accept my apologies.

One of the things I most value in this forum is not only the freely shared knowledge but the human quality of an unusually higher than usual percentage of its participants. My intervention was only for sharing some thoughts and expressing what was just a personal option, not, in any way, a criticism.
I'm sorry for all the fuss...
