Azande? Hausa? Need help!

My guess would be Zande. The hilt on Hausa daggers are different.

Thank you very much Lew! Your Zande dagger is beautiful, what are the handle material? Any guess about the age from my piece? And are Zande daggers are arm daggers? Sorry for my green questions but I know nearly nothing about african dagger.

The hilt on zande is ivory the dagger is circa 1920s. Yes it could have been used as an arm dagger or carried on the waist. Your the blade does not looked forged so I would say 1930-40 but could be earlier?

So it's nearby tht the handle from my one is from ivory as well?

Yes ivory pre ban ivory. The seller did not want to ship outside the EU or I would have got it

Yesterday I also received this dagger. Lew, be happy that the seller don't want to ship to the States, otherwise you will have now the problem I have.

One piece from the ivory handle is chipped what the seller don't show by his pictures and also don't mentioned in his description. Have written him already but don't get response until now.
Otherwise is the dagger really nice so I don't know what I shall do now. What do you think?
