Hi regihis,
I'm not questioning what your friend told you, just pointing out why a Hausa inscription would be odd. I believe the Borno region is the only area of Nigeria where the kaskara form is noted (Bivar). Bivar concludes that the blade from the sword of Baiajidda is from the nilotic regions of Sudan. I'm having a little trouble understanding what your friend is trying to say. ![]() ![]() I'm intrigued by all of this so please keep adding more info about the inscription when you can |

Hi friends,
I sent the images of the sword to the Mosque of São Paulo and the teacher of arabic identificated the texts as NOT ARABIC. In arab language AJAMI is the word used for NOT ARAB. |
