Hi Velay,
Thanks for your response, I notice that your items have two different types of blades flat like mine and also one with what looks like a round shaft close to where the axe head enters the handle. Are they both able to be used in the horizontal and vertical planes? Also the one with the metal type stud work looks to be of finer quality, does this mean it is for someone of higher status? (or am I jumping to conclusions)

the blade is fixed on the two axes, the blade is thick on both axes ...
