Hi Paolo
I dunno where you found the date 1850 ???
there is a date, yes, but this one
you will get it, as said "Battara", when you gonna show your whole yatagan
as it's a part of our rules (if I might said) here

all the best

Hello Paolo
unfortunately my feeling was right ...
you will need a linguistic in Turkish, it's not Arabic language
when I saw the "tughra" I was pretty sure

only thing we have been able to translate,
excepted one (1) word, it's only in phonetic, hasn't a sense in Arabic "outna" (?)

1217 AMAL OUTNA SALEH either 1802 MADE BY OUNA(?) SALEH

all the best

Hi Paolo and Dom,

1) 1217 amel usta Salih sahib Salih Ağa - 1802/03 work of Master Salih, owner Salih Agha

2) Bıçak elde gerek dilde sübhan - One should have knife(yataghan) in his hands and the Subhan (popular name for Sorat Al-Isra from Quran) in his tongue

3-4) Yemliha, Meksalina, Mislina, Mernuş, Debernuş, Sazenuş, Kefestetayuş, Kıtmir - The names of seven sleepers and their dog

best,
