Sorry Detlef for the delay.

It is bufallo horn. Not a strange color. I've seen many variations on color. I visisted once a very famous collector here in Holland. He told me that the color of horn has many variations. Every variation has its value. The most expensive colors are green and the most cheapest and common brown and black.
This collector showed me a keris with a dresss of expensive green horn. It looked like jade. That was an awsome keris.

Hello Henk,

no problem. Have seen black, brown, green and "white" buffalo horn but can't remember to to have seen it with this specked colour.

Regards,

Detlef
