Cockfighting is the national past time in the Philippines...
you got that right! not just in the Philippines, but wherever there's a filipino community, or any town that has at least three filipinos

tim,
the cock's natural spurs are trimmed and only one 'slasher' is tied on each gamecock. see zamboanga's picture...

Sorry guys, just wanted to voice my opposition to bullfights - never I seen a sport more cowardly. Bulls are clearly disoriented. They are peckled with darts by guys who readily jump behind huge wooden shields, if the bull is to even look in their direction. In the end some guy with a sword comes to the arena, at this point the bull is tired, slow and bleeding. The great achievement of this person (torero I presume ?) is to trick this bull into launching couple of times against the famed red cloth.

In short I would much rather see gladiatorial games (I have nothing against willing individuals killing each other in the ring), than this theatrical version of a butcher shop.

How do you spot a moron in a cockpit?
He is the one bringing in a duck.

How do you spot another moron in a cockpit?
Its the one who bets on the duck.

There is a conspiracy in the cockpit when?
The duck wins!

sorry, can't help sharing that one....
