Lovely piece, Looks gilt on thick brass to me, as Battara says clearly Indian, nicley forged T spine, must be from between 1875 to 1930 I would think, interesting hanging loop for wall hanging, {should be two, with chain between.} Ive normaly seen that on 20th century pieces.

Apart from kaudi bieng in existance not that much Hindu symbolism. I wonder if it could be a Sikh piece?

Definatly a prestigious kukri,though!
