A finger hook from the Karamajong in Tansania. What's special about this one is the fact it has a double hook. Most of them only have one hook. Can be a gruesome concealed weapon.

Are you sure it's intended to be worn on the pinkie? I'd had expected them to be hold more like the Turkana finger knives?

How are they hold when used for eating?

No, they are not usually worn on the pinkie. In Christopher Spring's 'African Arms and Armour' is written that it's worn on the second finger and held in the palm of one's hand.

Besides being used as a weapon and for eating, a Suk (Pokot) chief greeted his subordinates by allowing them to grasp the hook.

I put it on my pinkie because my fingers are too thick.
