Hi Kubur. How have you been ?

What an interesting Tourist/Display piece. And you are probably correct, an early 1900's piece utilizing the remnants of an original Moroccan lock and barrel. Actually, it looks like a lot of work went into this considering it was just a display piece. Just a styling exercise from the maker's imagination. The hidden dagger is clever. The blade actually looks half way decent (?)

By about the 1960's/70's there was probably not much original hardware or enthusiasm to continue making these better quality tourist pieces. But every once in a while one of these earlier pieces shows up. These earlier pieces might have a certain collector interest in their own right (?)

Reminds me of all the copies made during the Victoria Period in Europe.
