Default Translation anyone?

Hello gentlemen,

Need someone's support in translating the words on a small jordani shibriya blade. Tried to do my best while taking pictures. Next month I'm enrolling to an arabic course.

Manythanks in advance!

... just a joke ... before an Arabic course, may be you might see for a photographic course

but as you confess the average quality, you are partly forgiven,
and tomorow we'll see if we may translate something

next time, thanks for choise the "focus" fonction,
and to try to have some contraste in playing with lights
when you are taking details

all the best

Dear Dom, manythanks to you and your wife. Really sorry for bad quality of pics, but the blade is a little bit damaged due to age and in real life the words look the same as on photo. By the way, is it possible to translate what's written on 3d pic from above, just right to the birds head? These words are carved very deep and remain in good condition...

Thanks again

Hi Devadatta
could you be kind enough to make me a picture WITH the bird
when we began the translation, we read "MAHM" (Arabic sense "MHAM")
and may be the following letters are part of the bird, very common way with Arabs, they like to mix design and writting

the two other signs in above stay unfortunatly for us illegible

Hi Devadatta
YES it's OK
sorry, but the translation didn't progress a lot
- 2 signs on top ... no meaning apparently
- below, the other sign should be the name "Mohamed"

nothing more as far as for us

Dear Dom, the full item is shown in my topic "Jambiya-Shibriya". It has interesting curved scabbard, which I think is not so common for Jordan.

unfortunately, I will turn your dream in nightmare
I have evidence in my collection, that as well as for "Jordan Kangar" or "Majjal Shams" (Syrian)
it was used Gregorian dates written in Arabic way (only, not Hegira)
here pics .... every time better than a long speech

Thank you Dom, have a nice trip. Tashkent is a great city and I also wish you to visit Samarkand. I was there last summer and it was unforgetable.

And also I suggest you to buy local national knives pechak
