Exposed aggregate; I'm impressed.
That's very labor intensive work; the stones have to be absolutely clean or they will pop out; also there is an art to scattering the stones on the wet concrete.

About the Jambiya; will you attempt to polish it?

Actually Rick, those are precast exposed aggregate pavers. Made in a factory just like that Jambiya. Not very labor intensive but with cheap labor. Mexico for the pavers and India for the Jambiya. That's the case with most things these days.
