Aceh sikin with text on sheath (azimat?) translation help needed!
I recently added an Aceh sikin with double golden crowns to my collection.
The wooden sheath which is very nice has an inscription on the backside. It might be an azimat? Or an islamic text. So if there is someone out there that can help - please do so! Regards, Erik |

Gorgeous examples, Erik - congrats!
Dom, the language will be most probably Aceh but the skript is Arabic, isn't it? Any chance to try a transliteration so that we can get some of our Malay members to work on the translation part? I hope Mohd. will chime in here, too... Regards, Kai |

The words are hard to decipher, but what I can see may read in Malay as "Hamba hak Tengku Jat .....(something)" or in english " I belong to Tengku (Prince) Jat ...."

IT may be jawi, and that would need someone familiar with that language.
