Mixed pair of Malay knives for comments
Hello all, I've recently been gifted these two knives from a family with connections to Malaysia. The ancestor was in tea sometime at in the early 1900's. It is thought he brought them back to the UK.
It has been suggested that they are from Sumatra when I put them online, I would value any other thoughts or opinions, especially on age, use and origin. Many thanks in advance. Captain. Last edited by Captain; 11th August 2015 at 04:16 PM. |

Hello Captain, and welcome to the forum. I have had to edit this post so please take time to read the forum rules especially the ones on posting photos.

Hello Robert and thanks for the welcome. I've looked at the rules and I understand about how to upload photos as attachments which I have tried. It would appear that the files are too big. This is a shame as I am using a tablet and can't resize photographs at the moment. Any idea's? Captain. |

Captain:
There must be resizing programs available for the various types of tablets. Here is an old thread that talks about resizing pictures quickly and easily on a PC or Mac: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3248 If you can transfer your pics to a PC or Mac then this thread may have the answers for you. Other members may be able to help with an application for the tablet you use. Ian. |
