			Can not determine where this Yatagan Comes from ?  See decoration silver work? Red color of the leather? Type of damask? Best Kurt |

			I'll tala stab at it (every pun intended    ). The Damascus steel pattern and type of hilt might indicate origins being from Turkey proper. |

			It's Algerian. The pommel and the engraving tell it. Nice patternwelded blade

			Ward, what would make this Algerian? - the size?  Now that you say that, I think you may be right, but what characteristics point in this direction?
